Malaysia Prime Minister playing golf while the Nation hit with Flood disasters in some district
Christmas months had been rough for some district in Malaysia, the heavy rain had left Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang with continuous flooding in residential area. More than 100,000 peoples had been evacuate to safety since the flood level in Kelantan is bracing for the worst as the water level of Sungai Kelantan in Kuala Krai rose almost 10m above the danger limit.
While the country facing this emergency situation, the nation Prime minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak is enjoying a round of golf at the Clipper Golf course on Marine Corps Base Hawaii during Obama’s Christmas holiday in Kaneohe, Hawaii, yesterday on 25th December 2014.
The lack of consistency and respond from the nation top leader had left some negative impact and comments by the Malaysia representative leaders.
“We wants a prime minister who works instead of going on holidays,”
said Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib, who was a former Selangor menteri besar.
In latest updates, A total of 32,731 people were evacuated as even Kota Baru which has not seen flood in many years was inundated since yesterday. In Terengganu, the number of evacuees has shot up to 28,728 people from 22,536 yesterday due to continuous downpour and the high tide phenomenon. Kemaman has the most number of evacuees with 19,133 at 52 centres. In Pahang, 26,795 people from 7,013 families have been evacuated to 167 relief centres as at 8am.
