5 Healthy Foods That Disturb Weight Loss Process
Do you regularly go to the gym, run, have a healthy diet, don’t eat sugar or hamburgers in the middle of the night, but are no losing weight? To lose weight, it is important not only to eat healthy foods but also not eat foods that hinder your weight loss. If you want to lose weight, exclude or limit the consumption of products below:
Dairy products interfere with weight loss. Cheese contains 40-60g of fat and about 350 calories per 100g. For women with normal weight (about 60 kg), this will be a double dose of animal fat per day (based on 1 g of fat per 1 kg of their weight. 50% of fat should come from vegetable fats, and the other 50% from animal fats). Accordingly, if your diet includes 100g of cheese per day, then 30g of fat will go to the needs of the body but the remaining 30 will form fat.
At the same time, do not forget that your diet should consist of other foods that contain fats. Everything that will be above the norm will go to fat reserves. So you definitely will not lose weight. Try to eat up to 100g of cheese per week and it is better to give preference to goat or sheep’s cheese.
2. Dried Fruits
Contrary to popular belief, dried fruits are not a dietary product and do not have the same benefits as fresh fruits. During the drying process, most useful minerals disappear along with water but sugar and calories remain in full. At the same time, dried fruits are noticeably inferior in size and weight to fresh products. It turns out that harmless “diet” sweets supply your body with sugar, excess calories and you can eat more than you should.
For example, 100 g of apricots contains 48 calories and 9 g of sugar, and 100 g of dried apricots contains 241 calories and 53 g of sugar. If you are trying to achieve weight loss, it is better to exclude dried fruits from your diet or consume no more than 30 g per day.
Nuts are another diet product that contain a lot of calories and a large amount of fat. Therefore, when losing weight, it is important to limit the amount of this product in your diet as 100 g of nuts contain about 60 g of vegetable fats and about 500-600 calories. When you are in the process of losing weight, limit the consumption of nuts to 30 g per day.
Seeds, both sunflower and sesame, contain lot of calories and fat. The situation is especially bad with sunflower seeds because they are usually fried in oil and are also very high-calorie. If you are trying to reduce body weight, give up seeds or limit them to 30 g per day. It is better to add seeds to salads, cereals, and soups but not eat separately.
5. Juices and Fruit Smoothies
Smoothies are certainly very useful, but this is not a drink and can be considered a full meal. It contains a lot of calories but also contains fiber, which perfectly saturates the body. Therefore, it is better to use smoothies not to quench your thirst, but as a source of energy. Mix fruits with berries and vegetables to reduce the amount of sugar for one meal.
As for fruit juices, they are not harmless. They contain a large number of calories and a lot of sugar and contain no fiber. These drinks should be excluded from your diet if you are trying to lose weight.
