China Banned Google Search, will this ranked Baidu as Top Search Engine in China?
China have a strict control on their internet allowed content. Some web sites will be block from access if the China’s internet censorship panel found the website content is not suitable for their country internet viewers. According to wiki, there are more than 2,701 websites were blocked in China.
Recently Google also discover that their Search Engine & Other Properties such as Gmail and News also banned from China internet community. Google’s transparency report had confirmed this. A Google spokesperson told the press that they’ve checked and there’s nothing technically wrong on their end.
Users in China who try to access Google web search are being blocked completely. Some users are able to be redirected to Google Hong Kong but about half of those users are being cut off.
According to user in China, their alternative Search Engine would be Baidu, a popular search engine in China. How much will this effect the Google’s revenue stream? imagine a country with 1 billion people suddenly blocked access to Google Search Engine. Will this website censorship block effect the commerce community worldwide since according to recent market research, 60% consumers (people who spent money) are from China by ordering item online through marketplace such as Alibaba which might or might not land them from a simple Google searches.
